Contraindication

Definition:

a condition or situation which makes the adoption of a process or tool inadvisable. In the realm of IM, most contraindications are relative, i.e. they make a particular process or tool somewhat inadvisable but do not rule it out completely.

One of the two key markers for tool analysis. See also Indication.
