What is Knowledge?
Knowledge comes in three forms:
- Biological knowledge: For example, DNA and our brain's synaptic structure embody knowledge that aid our survival as a special (for the former) and as an individual (in the latter case).
- Mental knowledge: Mental knowledge is a personal understanding of the universe which has been evaluated and accepted as a core belief. In many cases, mental knowledge is not a conscious belief.
- Cultural knowledge: Cultural knowledge is a shared understanding, such as an aesthetic ideal or scientific theory.
